Sexual dysfunction of cancer patients is a common problem, but is easily neglected by health care providers in clinical practice. Factors that are related to the patient's sexual dysfunction may include stress at facing cancer diagnosis, change of body image caused by treatments, change of the relationships with their partners and comorbid psychiatric disorders. In this article, we reviewed the literatures and shared our clinical experiences related to the possible causes of cancer patient’s sexual dysfunction and the impacts upon the patient and their relationship with others from the perspectives of the psychosomatic medicine.
