摘要

在本省自然氣候下，重瓣夜來香(Polianthes tuberose L. cv. ”Double”)之花器發育以6~12月花被瓣數較多，每朶具24~31片。但缺雌雄蕊；1~5月花被瓣數較少，然雌雄蕊發育正常，尤以3月爲然。
夜來香花粉在Brewbaker和Kwack配方培養基發芽良好，花粉貯藏幹乾容器中發芽率急遽降低。在10℃，70% RH貯藏4星期後，發芽率仍可達30%以上。
夜來香有雌雄蕊異熟(dichogamy)及自交不親和性(self-incompatibility)之現象，於雌親開花後2~3天，單瓣及重瓣品種間之雜交可結實。

The flower development of Polianthes tuberosa cv. ”Double” cultivated in southern Taiwan describes as follows: There are many perianthes, but no stamen or pistil from June to December; less perianthes, but stamen or pistil develop quite normally from January to May, especially in March.
Pollen of Polianthes tuberosa germinated well in Brewbaker and Kwack medium. Pollen germination decreased quickly after storage in silica gel desiccator; but was above 30% at 10℃ low temperature and 70% relative humidity conditions after stored for 4 wks. Polianthes tuberosa has the character of dichogamy and self-incompatibility. Crossing between single and double variety, when female parent anthesis after 2-3 days, could produce fruits and seeds.
