本研究依據過去新產品開發文獻,提出一個結合加速機制、新產品開發績效指標(包括:開發速度、開發成本、開發品質)與新產品專案成功之理論架構,並試圖驗證各構面間之關係。研究設計以台灣高科技製造業為研究樣本,專案為分析單位進行問卷調查,並透過結構方程模式驗證研究假說。主要研究發現為:(1)除了「外部技術來源加速機制」一項外,其他加速機制都能有效加速新產品開發速度;(2)「內部公司層級加速機制」對專案成功有正向的直接效果與間接效果,而「內部計畫層級加速機制」與「外部技術來源加速機制」兩項則僅有間接效果;(3)新產品開發速度愈快,愈能降低開發成本以及提升開發品質。
Based on the studies of New Product Development (NPD), this research presents a conceptual framework of the interrelationships among acceleration mechanisms, NPD performance and NPD project success. The data was collected from 168 projects of high-tech manufacturers in Taiwan by using questionnaires and was analyzed on LISREL. The findings show that (1) most acceleration mechanisms would facilitate NPD speed effectively except the external sourcing of knowledge; (2) internal corporate-level acceleration mechanism has a positive direct and indirect influences on project success, while two acceleration mechanisms of internal project-level and external sourcing of knowledge only have indirect effects; (3) the result identifies a significant positive relationship between NPD speed and quality as well as a significant negative relationship between NPD speed and cost.
