During the first decade of the new millennium, the human rights situation among many Asian democratic countries, particularly in Taiwan, has been abused and degraded awfully by two international factors-namely the anti-terrorism policy of USA, and the rise of China's economy. With these two factors, and in addition to its anti-democratic true nature, the KMT, which gained the presidential office in 2008, has shown its spite of human rights again. The KMT government has speedily reduced Taiwan's human rights standard to an absurdity in order to present its homage to China during the last two months.
