摘要

據統計，癌症末期有87.6%的病人會選擇使用另類療法，來緩解症狀、促進舒適，其中芳香療法已經廣泛的使用在各緩和醫療病房中。本專案主要目的係改善緩和醫療病房臨床護理人員對芳療薰香法作業的正確性，小組成員利用問卷調查及資料回溯法收集現況，分析要因後，發現造成芳療薰香法作業不正確的原因為沒有人員教導、缺乏標準作業規範與參考工具。改善措施含在職教育、設立芳療薰香法標準作業規範及芳香療法使用指南。專案執行後小組以「護理人員對於芳療薰香法作業及滿意度調查問卷」進行後測，護理人員對於執行芳療薰香法作業認知由27.5%提升至100%，芳療薰香法作業執行正確率由32.29%提升至90.63%。經由此改善方案，建立護理人員芳療薰香法的正確認知及標準操作流程，提供末期病人不適症狀緩解的另類照護之新選擇，提昇緩和醫療照護品質，同時未來亦可擴展到其他臨床照護層面。

According to statistics, 87.6% patients in terminal stage would choose Alternative Medicine to the alleviate symptom and promote comfort, In which, Aromatherapy is widespreed used in palliative care unit. The purpose of this project is to improve operating procedure of aromatherapy by inhaling essential oils in palliative care. The project team members use the methodology of the questionnaire survey and the traceable documents for collection of the current status. After a series of analysis, we found that the reasons to cause incorrect operating procedure of inhaled essential oils are that no appropriate supervisor can teach and it's lack of standard procedure, reference tools and manual. The improvement measures are including the implementation of training programs, establishment of standard operational and manual of inhaled essential oils. After project implementation, the project team proceeds post-testing by presence with ”the questionnaire survey of satisfaction from nursing staffs towards operating procedure of aromatherapy by inhaling essential oils”, which claims that the recognition of nursing staffs increases from 27.5% up to 100%, and the correctness of implementation raises from 32.29 % to 90.63%. By this improvement project, it can establish the correct recognition and standard operating procedure for nursing staffs to provide alternatives for alleviation of symptoms in terminal stage of cancer patients and as well for improvement of medical care quality, which also can extend to other aspects of clinical care in the future.
