This article explains what leadership qualities (or characteristics) are necessary for an educator to become an influential role in his or her position. The most essential of these qualities is the idea that an educator should play the role of a servant-leader who desires to serve students. The purpose of this paper is to present a picture of servant leadership that demonstrates commitment from three major roles exhibited in the college setting: dean, administrator, and teacher. With the heart of a servant, leaders (dean, administrator, and teacher) can experience fulfillment and real joy in their daily work routine.
