Purpose: This study is to explore an auxiliary method to teach Tai Chi Chuan by using the Facebook to break through the traditional teaching method. Methods: There are four students to participate in this study. The research tools are iPhone 4 and Facebook. By using the iPhone built-in video camera function, the movements of teacher and students were recorded and uploaded to Facebook thereafter. The research proceeds once a week, 60 minutes each time for eight weeks courses which include statement and video recording. The recording contains the followings: teacher explains the key point, teacher demonstrates movements, teacher leads students to practice, students practice, teacher corrects students’ movements, and finally students perform individually. Finally, teacher compiles and analyzes the information to compare and explore the learning difference. Results: Facebook and video can assist the traditional teaching. Conclusion: 1. Increasing the ways to discuss between teacher and students, as well as among students mutually. 2. Increasing time and space usage. Students can immediately submit questions without delay. 3. Assisting teachers to know well study progress, to understand the situation and solve problems at once. 4. Providing the mutual comparison between teacher and students, to aid students self-learning. 5. Providing students with repeated viewing, self-examination and improvement opportunities, to promote the efficiency of learning. 6. Helping students to grasp teacher’s demonstration movements, to enhance accuracy.
