摘要

背景：癌症是台灣十大死因之首，且有逐年上升的趨勢；而護理人員因職業特性及環境，致罹癌風險較其他職業高。目的：探討並概念化女性護理人員第一次罹癌後之因應歷程。方法：運用紮根理論及滾雪球取樣，進行四位罹癌女性護理人員之訪談。並運用NVivo 8及持續比較分析法，最後，形成概念性架構。結果：(發現女性護理人員罹癌之因應歷程類別，分別為：「見微知著」、「運用資源」、「當機立斷」、「身歷其境」、「撥雲見日」。此歷程的核心為「因為我是護師」，串連並引導女性護理人員罹癌歷程中的因應。結論/實務應用：本研究結果除了釐清第一次罹癌女性護理人員之因應歷程外，亦可做為照顧女性罹癌護理人員的評估、計劃及措施之參考；也能提供未來研究討論之參考。

Background: Cancer has been the first leading cause of death in Taiwan. In all walks of life, nurses have higher cancer risk than other occupations due to the job characteristics and environment. Purposes: To explore and conceptualize the coping process of female nurses' first experience of cancer. Methods: Based on grounded theory and snowball sampling procedure, this research draws from four female nurses who encountered the first cancer. The data were collected by in-depth interview and constant comparative method with NVivo 8 in coding procedure. Finally, the conceptual framework formed. Results: The result of the study showed that the coping process of female nurses of cancer. involving five stages; namely, ＂Keening observation＂, ＂Making good use of the resources＂, ＂Making a prompt decision＂, ＂Experiencing the situation personally＂ and ＂Seeing the light again＂. The core category leading this process was ＂because I am a nurse＂. Conclusions: This study apart from clarifying the coping process of female nurses' first experience with cancer, it conceptual framework also offers a reference for health care workers to conduct assessments, plans and interventions for caring nurses with cancer.
