國際藝術博覽會趨勢初探:以台北國際藝術博覽會為例

摘要


藝術市場在二十世紀後趨向繁榮且多元的發展,新興的畫廊如雨後春筍般在世界各地迅速竄起,加速了藝術品的生產、交易與流通,因此過去小型、區域性的藝術品交易和展覽機制逐漸無法因應這樣的轉變,大規模藝術博覽會形成的藝術品展覽交易模式便由此誕生,世界各國也開始相繼舉辦藝術博覽會,一股新興熱潮焉然產生。國內最具代表性的藝術博覽會為一九九二年由中華民國畫廊協會所舉辦的〈台北國際藝術博覽會〉,其發展奠基在九○年代台灣藝術產業蓬勃發展的榮景之上,不僅達到高額的交易量,並吸引大量的參觀人潮,之後卻受到藝術市場泡沫化的影響陷入低潮期,但〈台北國際藝術博覽會〉至此進入一個新的局面,在邁向轉型階段之際,〈台北國際藝術博覽會〉自身的問題也必須重新受到檢視。本研究以藝術博覽會發展、特質與趨勢之理解為出發,在對問題與困境探究的同時,將國際間藝術博覽會的成功法則提供給〈台北國際藝術博覽會〉未來發展之參酌。 本研究內容共分為四章,第一章為研究背景之介紹。第二章概述藝術博覽會之歷史沿革、目的與發展趨勢,並列舉國際間重要藝術博覽會介紹之。第三章將〈台北國際藝術博覽會〉之起源與發展做一回顧與整理,並探討其形成之架構因素。第四章從〈台北國際藝術博覽會〉的外部環境,包含文化政策面、藝評機制面、藝術市場面進行檢視,再進入內部結構之資金、運作與定位進行分析,最後總結出〈台北國際藝術博覽會〉所面臨的主要困境,藉此做為未來的發展參考。

The market of arts became more prosperous and developed after the twentieth century. Many galleries have rapidly arisen around the world and this accelerated the production, transaction and circulation of the arts. Therefore, the previous small-scale or regional art trading exhibition system is no longer suitable for the new change. In this circumstance, “Art Fair”, the new model of art trading, has been created accordingly. Furthermore, many countries also start to hold Art Fair and this forms a new trend gradually. The most famous representative of Art Fair in Taiwan, “Art Taipei”, was held by the Art Gallery Association R.O.C. in 1992. The foundation of its development was largely dependent on the prosperity of Taiwan art industries in 1990s. As a result, “Art Taipei” not only created the astonishing transactions amount but also attracted numerous visitors. However, the market of Art Taipei plunged afterward due to the bubble economy of art market and entered a new era. During this transformation, the inherent problems of Art Taipei should be examined thoroughly. Based on the understanding of the development, features and trends of Art Fair, we detailed the problems of Art Taipei and would suggest the successful rules of other Art Fairs for its further development. This research is composed of four chapters. Chapter one is the introduction of research background of Art Fair. Chapter two details its history, goals and developmental trends and exemplifies some important international Art Fairs. Chapter three reviews the origin and development of Art Taipei and discusses the structure and factors of its formation. Chapter four examines the external environment of Art Taipei, which includes the aspects of culture policy, art evaluation and art market and analyzes the internal structures such as capital, operation and position. At last, the confronting problems of Art Taipei would be proposed as references for its future improvements.
