Contributed by Constructivism, De stiji, Neo-Plasticism movement, Bauhaus, the concept of graphic design had a great progress after World War II. Rapid development on the related theory has made graphic design being a required course of visual communication. Beside the adoption of color、shape and texture, for the purpose of presenting three-dimensions(3D) effect on graphic, artists tend to employ perspective, overlap, shadow, dense/loose dot, spacing line. As world itself is 3D-oriented, objects sawn by human beings are naturally translated in 3D manner. How to make objects in graphic design with 3D appearance becomes an important issue for designers and artists. 3D characterizes on space-existence and with length, width, depth dimension. There are plenty of ways to demonstrate 3D or space perception on two-dimension plane, for example; perspective and shadow. In generally, if we use three basic elements of plan constitution and three characteristics of color(hue, value, saturate) in a elastic way, 3D expression will be developed abundantly. The archives studied in this research contain two parts, basic meaning of graphic design and 3D cognition. In basic meaning of graphic design, the researcher studied the definition of the component element of graphic design and the way to express movement and visual illusion figures. To realize human being 3D cognition procedure, discussion individual from physiology and psychology were made. Then, researcher categorized the ways artists used to generate 3D perception, and used it to create experimental works. Researcher expect this research will provide a complete concept for learners who concentrate on representing 3D perception to their plane works, help them to realize how mentality and physiology process goes on in science aspect and assist designer or artist becoming familiar to all expressive skills about 3D perception. The purpose of this research is as following: 1.To discuss the related content of graphic constitution 2.To investigate the 3D perception in theory and science. 3.To analysis the skill of representing 3D perception on plane works The conclusion of this research is: 1.Learning how to represent 3D perception on plane is a 2.required subject for learner while studying graphic design. 3.Works which contain 3D perception effect could be greatly attractive. 4.Realization on the process of 3D perception will help designer or artist in most art fields. 5.The appliance chose has influence on the style of works.
