電子行動裝置之使用者介面設計研究 - 以員警之交通違規告發勤務為例

摘要


摘 要 本研究嚐試藉由探討警務人員使用電子行動裝置的需求,設計適用於台灣員 警處理交通違規事件使用之電子行動裝置之操作介面。 本研究分三階段進行。第一階段首先探討介面構成要素、使用者介面的人因 工程、手持式電子行動裝置使用者介面設計技巧和使用性工程之相關文獻,並整 理出可應用於警用電子行動裝置操作介面之設計技巧。接著,透過員警訪談及實 地觀察員警之執勤狀態,歸納出員警執行交通違規告發勤務時之問題及需求。 第二階段依據整理出之設計技巧與現況調查結果,針對員警處理交通違規事 件勤務中之「人員、車籍資料查詢」工作與「交通違規法條輸入」工作,設計出 二組由不同選單模式及法條內容呈現方式構成之操作介面;分別為 (1)「隱藏式 -下拉選單」與「依法規之條、項、款,分頁呈現」之法條內容呈現方式,及 (2) 「展開式-頁籤、按鍵式選單」與「單頁逐條呈現」之法條內容呈現方式。 第三階段,實施基層制服員警操作二組操作介面之使用性測試,評量及比較 員警執行任務之 (1) 時間績效 ;(2)心智負荷、身體負荷、時間負荷、精神負荷、 績效表現滿意度、挫折感等六項工作負荷與 (3) 員警對二組介面之偏好。 測試結果經由t 檢定之比較顯示出: (1)「展開式-頁籤、按鍵式選單」介面 之操作效能較佳,亦較受員警喜好 ;(2) 二組介面之法條內容呈現方式,在操 作效能上並無差異,但「單頁逐條呈現」方式較受員警偏好;(3)操作「隱藏式- 下拉選單」介面之挫折感高於「展開式-頁籤、按鍵式選單」介面,在其他項工 作負荷上並無顯著差異 (4) 員警操作二組介面時之六項工作負荷評量均偏低。

Abstract The goal of this study is, through exploring the needs for the electronic mobile devices by the police force, to achieve a suitable design of operation interface in the electronic mobile devices that is tailored for police use in handling traffic violations in Taiwan. This study is conducted in three stages. The first stage explores seminal aspects such as constituent factors of an interface, human factor engineering of the user interface, design skills of the user interface in the hand-held electronic mobile devices, and literature in usability engineering, from which the design skills that can be implemented to the operation interface of police electronic mobile devices are identified. Next, from interviews with police officers and field observation of on-duty police operation, the common issues and requirements that arise as the police handle traffic violations are summarized. In the second stage, two sets of user interfaces with different menu modes accompanied by distinct ways of traffic law display, considering the tasks of “Person and vehicle record inquiry” and ”Article input of traffic law” associated with traffic violation processing, are designed according to the identified design skills and field survey results. The two user interfaces are as follows: (1) Hidden-Pull down menu and display of articles, items, and sections of traffic law on separate pages, and (2) Expanded-Page tag, button menu and sequential single-page article display of the traffic law. In the third stage of this study, usability testing of the two user interfaces on the uniform officers at the front level in the task force is conducted, followed by iii evaluations and comparisons of their performance of duty by (1) Time Efficiency, (2) Task demands in mental, physical, temporal, effort, performance, and frustration level, and (3) User preference over the two interfaces. Evaluated by the t-Test, the testing results indicate that (1) the “Expanded-Page Tag, Button menu” interface exhibits better operation efficacy and is preferred by the officers being surveyed; (2) there is no significant difference in the operation efficacy between the two interfaces in their ways of traffic law display, while the “one with sequential single-page article display” is preferred; (3) the frustration level in the operation of the “Hidden-Pull down menu” interface is higher than that in the “Expanded-Page Tag, Button menu” interface, with no considerable discrepancies in other task demands; (4) low scores are obtained in the evaluation of the six task demands when the police officers are operating both interfaces.
