台灣半導體產業經營效率之研究－資料包絡分析法之應用

摘要

近年來，由於全球景氣不佳，台灣半導體產業結構遭受到成本衝擊，有多家廠商紛紛前往大陸地區設廠以尋求降低成本；而國內廠商向於受限於內需市場不大的情況下，必須仰賴外銷。因此，引發本文探討台灣半導體產業之經營效率以及外銷比例對經營效率影響之研究。
本研究擬以民國87年到民國91年間五年之台灣上市上櫃半導體產業作為研究對象，再以資料包絡分析(DEA)方法來衡量經營效率，以便了解全業經營效率與外銷比例之間是否有特定關係存在，以提供投資人作投資決策時較完整的參考。
研究結果發現，我國半導體產業中，不管是以民國87年到民國91年間五年資料整體綜合比較，或是以每年資料分別探討，都可以發現外銷比例較高的廠商其整體效率值，皆較外銷比例較低之廠商的表現為佳，因此本研究推論，台灣上市上櫃半導體產業中，外銷比例較高的廠商，其經營效率優於外銷比例較低的廠商。

Recently, some semiconductor manufacturers have moved to China because of the global economic depression. Because, the market demand for domestic semiconductors in Taiwan is very small. Taiwanese semiconductor manufocture's have to depend on export. This paper studies the operational efficiency of the semiconductor manufacturing industry and the export rate impact on the operational efficiency in Taiwan.
The research is based on information from the Taiwanese semiconductor stock market from 1998 to 2002. We have used the DEA as a tool to measure operational efficiency and to find the relationship between the operational efficiency and the export rate.
We found that the manufacturers with higher export rates had better production efficiency.
