“命名”、“信仰”與“海洋”的重奏－達悟族口傳文學中的“動物故事”及其內在文化意涵研究

摘要

達悟族現存的口傳文學相當具有獨特性，它展現了達悟的文化傳統、禁忌、神靈崇拜、生活型態以及神話傳說等各面向的特色。由採集完成的故事內容進行觀察，達悟族人與動物的關係確實是密切且特殊的。目前針對台灣原住民動物故事進行詮釋分析的學者並不多，且仍未見以達悟族動物故事為主題的學術研究專論；然整體言之，達悟族動物故事的討論確是值得開發的研究面向。
因此本文汲取民間文學「口傳」、「變異」、「集體」三項本質為研究視點，以達悟族口傳文學中的動物故事為主要材料，發現「命名」活動、族群信仰、文化禁忌及海洋文化提供的資源等，有機構合成動物故事成形與發展的外緣條件。而階級的模糊化、善惡「人性」取代動物屬性、人與動物情的深刻描寫等，則呈現達悟族口傳動物故事之與漢族動物故事有別的風情所在。
口傳故事對於達悟文化的意義，已不僅僅在重塑文化的原貌，而是應當更積極地踩在文化材料的沃土上，溫故而「思新」。或許，當達悟人面對外來異文化的衝擊時，口傳故事正可以扮演一面傳統的鏡子，讓達悟人隨時可以照見過去、思考未來！

Oral Literature of Da Wu's 'Animal story' is very unique. It shows Da Wu's traditional culture, living types and mythology. Observation of the stories that have already been noted down and of the relation between people and animal is very special. So, Da Wu's 'Animal story' is very worthy to study and research.
This study regards oral literature of Da Wu's 'animal story' as the main material, and finds that naming, ethnic faith, culture taboo and marine culture offer elements for the development of animal stories.
Oral literature not only reforms Da Wu's culture, but becomes a mirror for Da Wu people to make a thorough review of the past and to think of their future.
