摘要
有關人的問題向來是讀者最關切的問題，也是圖書館參考服務的重心；然欲提供讀者最適切、最完整的人物資訊，則需善用各類傳記參考資源。本文將中文傳記參考資源分為普通傳記參考資料和特殊傳記參考資料兩大類。前者包括傳記辭典、正史紀傳、方志傳記、譜牒資料、墓誌資料、傳記資料和文集，後者則涵蓋姓錄、同姓名錄、異名錄、生卒年表、題名錄。每類選介可資利用之參考工具書，略述其收錄範圍和編排體例，冀參提供中文人物資訊查檢時之參考。

The biographical issues have been the most common in reference queries. Biographical sources always play critical role in reference services. In determining what biographical sources to search, the users and the librarians will work from proliferating materials with different forms and categories. The effectiveness of reference service depends on the systematically arrangement of sources. Chinese biographical sources had been categorized into twelve categories in this paper. This taxonomy constitutes the blueprint for the access and evaluation. Each entry elaborate the classification, function, layout coverage, and pro and cons of these biographical sources.
