臺灣高科技產業成長模式之研究-以臺灣DRAM產業為例

摘要


臺灣半導體業產業自1966 年封裝產業開始,歷經近40年的努力發展,不僅在IC 上下游的設計、製造、封裝、測試業之產值有大幅的成長,更在全球半導體產業奠立一個重要的地位。 回顧臺灣半導體業產的發展史,在政府積極協助及業者的努力經營,終於成為現今世界半導體的重要國家。在發展型態上已由勞動密集、低附加價值的組裝產業,轉移至高科技與附加價值高的製造與設計業。 透過以臺灣高科技DRAM產業中前四大企業的成長模式為個案分析,本文得出以下結論: (1)企業成長首重企業規模的成長:從這四大DRAM廠不斷擴大產能產量,並積極擴展全球市佔率,對高科技產業而言,擴大企業規模仍是企業成長途徑的首選。 (2)企業成長不再是單純產品的成長:唯有較廣的產品線才能保有較高的成長動力,這四大DRAM廠並不挶限於既有技術,更在先進技術的先進製程生產下,快速將其轉換成具有價值的產品。 (3)高科技產業的成長模式循著高科技產品本身的發展軌跡:每項產品的技術革新對高科技企業成長而言都是一項挑戰,只有順應高科技技術的發展脈絡才能確保企業的穩健成長。 (4)高科技產業的成長顯現出聚集效應:由於其產值相當龐大,因此人才、技術、資金與相關的配套措施,將會牽動DRAM產業是否能歷久不衰,而產業鏈的完整性將是主要關鍵之一,DRAM業者的分佈區域更將隨著資源集中而走向聚落大者恒大的趨勢。

The semiconductor industry in Taiwan has begun with sealing industry in 1966. After the 40 years of diligent development, the output value of IC upstream and downstream design, manufacturing, sealing and testing grow significantly. It has an important position in the semiconductor industry in the world. Reviewing the development history of semiconductor industry in Taiwan, the government actively assisted this industry and the dealers operated the business arduously. Finally, Taiwan becomes an important semiconductor country in the world. On the structure of development, it has changed from the labor intensive and low value added assembly industry to high technology and high value added manufacturing and design industry. From the individual analysis of the development mode of the biggest four enterprise in high technology DRAM industry in Taiwan, this article has drawn the following conclusion: 1. The growth of the enterprise is mainly on the growth of the scale: these four large enterprises constantly increase the potential and quantity of output and actively expand the marketing sharing in the world. The first choice of the enterprise to grow is to expand the scale of the enterprise. 2. The growth of the enterprise is not being simple growth of the products any more: Only the wide range of product line and maintain the high motivation of growth. These four large DRAM enterprises are not restricted by the existing technology. With the advanced production process of advanced technology, it changed to the valued products rapidly. 3. The development mode of the high technology industry follow the development track of the high technology product itself: The technological innovation of each product is a challenge to a high technology enterprise. To ensure the enterprise can grow constantly, it should follow the development vein of the high technology. 4. The growth of high technology industry appears the aggregate effect: as the output value is great, the talents, technology, capital and relevant supplementary measure would influence whether the DRAM industry can last for long or not. The completeness of the industry chain would be one of the main factors. Regarding the distribution of the DRAM dealers, since the source will further centralize, the trend is that the large enterprises will be large forever.
