正念與高爾夫推桿表現之關係

The Relationship between Mindfulness and Golf Putting Performance

摘要


高爾夫推桿屬於一種閉鎖式運動,因此,選手更容易受到心理因素的干擾。近年來,「正念」一個重要的心理特徵,目前已被許多學者應用在競技運動選手上。目的:本文主要探討正念與高爾夫推桿表現之關係。方法:本研究以參加全國業餘高爾夫冬季排名賽之青少年菁英選手為研究對象,共68 位(男性33 位,女性35 位),參與者平均年齡為17.90 歲,平均球齡為6.74 年。經過參與者同意後,於比賽第二回合結束後,請參與者填寫正念運動量表,測量選手在高爾夫比賽情境之正念水準;推桿表現則以選手比賽兩回合之推桿數為依據。結果:所得資料以皮爾遜積差相關與多元迴歸進行分析。本研究結果顯示,注意力控制與推桿平均數呈現負相關;不評價與推桿平均數呈現正相關。在注意力控制與不評價預測推桿平均數方面,注意力控制(β = -.33) 能夠負向預測推桿平均數;不評價(β = .21)無法預測推桿平均數。結論:高爾夫選手若能在運動比賽情境中,發揮注意力控制水準,將有助於推桿表現,因此本研究建議未來高爾夫選手可透過正念訓練,提升注意力控制之正念能力,將有助於比賽情境中的推桿表現。

Golf putting is a close skilled sport that athletes are more likely to be interferenced by psychological factors. In recent years, Mindfulness is an important psychological characteristic that has been applied on athletes. Purpose: This study was to examine the relationship between mindfulness and golf putting performance. Methods: Participants were 68 elite golf players (33 males and 35 females) who competed in Taiwan Standard Chartered Bank National Winter Ranking Golf Tournament. Participants' average age and golf experience were 17.90 and 6.74 years respectively. After finished the second round of the tournament, participants were asked to complete Mindfulness Inventory for Sport (MIS) which assessed their mindfulness in golf. Participants' putting performance in the second round was also recorded. Research data were analyzed by Pearson's correlation and multiple stepwise regression. Results: This study indicated that "Attentional control" was negatively related to putting average. "Non-judgment" was positively correlated with putting average. Moreover "Attentional control" (β = -.33) negatively predicted golfers' putting average. "Non-judgment" (β = .21) couldn't predict golfers' putting average. Conclusions: In the competition situations the higher attentional control ability they had the better putting performance athletes did. In order to improve elite golfers' putting performance, intervention program including attentional control training are recommended.
