本論文旨在翻譯Mark Sanderson所著的《Wrong Rooms》及討論筆者翻譯該書的心得和體會,並藉由交叉比較原文與譯文來探討翻譯本書所面臨的困難,以及針對翻譯中採用的翻譯技巧、策略加以分析研究。本論文共分為六章。第一章說明本文的研究動機及目的。第二章為作者以及原著的介紹。第三章說明筆者翻譯本書之流程。第四章為譯文。第五章則是根據原文與現存繁體中譯本,以及筆者翻譯之版本的交叉比對,探討翻譯中應改進的地方,以及適用的翻譯技巧。第六章為筆者提出之建議與心得。
This thesis presents the author’s translation of the book Wrong Rooms written by Mark Sanderson and discussion of the translation process, techniques applied, difficulties encountered during translation, along with a comparison of the author’s translated text and the text of a published Chinese version. The thesis is divided into six chapters. Chapter 1 provides the purpose and motive of the study. Chapter 2 introduces the author and content of the book. Chapter 3 is the translation process. Chapter 4 is the translated text of Wrong Rooms. Chapter 5, the main body of the thesis, compares author’s translated text with the one that was published, to discuss the mistakes that should be avoided and techniques that can be applied to produce a better translation. Chapter 6 concludes the thesis with author’s opinions.
