我國高等技職教育近年來快速擴張,專科學校升格為大學以及新設大學的數量大幅增加。因此本研究的目為探究現今影響科技大學學生選擇科系的因素。研究方法為問卷調查法。研究結果發現現今科大生相對於社會面向(如:重要他人、聲望及資訊)與現實面向(如:學費、分數、獎學金及選校不選系)較重視就業面向(如:工作前景、增加就業力及環境與趨勢)與心理面向(如:興趣及生涯規劃)。 再者不同個人背景的科技大學學生,如性別、年級、領域、家庭月收入、父母親教育程度以及畢業的學校類型等變項,在科系選擇因素上有所差異。接著公私立學校學生在科系選擇因素上有顯著差異,其中資訊與經濟方面私立比公立更重視,其他面向則是公立比私立更重視。此外,各面向間存在正相關,亦即在選擇科系時愈重視該面向,也會愈重視其他面向。最後根據研究結果提出相關建議。
In recent years, technical and vocational universities expanded rapidly. Many junior colleges were upgraded to universities and a lot of new universities were established. This study investigated the factors that affect University of Science and Technology students’ college major choices. Quantitative research method was applied. Results showed that today's science and technology university students emphasis more on the employment dimension (such as job prospects, job force, and environment and trends) and the psychological dimension (such as interesting and career planning) than on the social dimension (such as significant others, prestige, and information) and reality dimension (such as tuition, scores, scholarships and school choice is not selected lines).Furthermore, results showed that gender, grade, field, family income, parental education, and graduated from the school type all have impacts on the major choice. In addition, public and private undergraduates are significantly different in the influences toward college major choice. In addition, positive correlations are found among all dimensions. That is, when choosing a department, one emphasizes more on the dimension will also care more about other dimensions. Compare to the public students, the private ones pay more attention to the information and economy dimension. On the other hand, the public students pay more attention to all other dimensions than private ones. Related policy recommendations are discussed in the end of the paper.
