中文摘要 本研究之目的在探討靜坐對國小學童創造力與記憶力之效果。本研究以「等組前後測設計」之準實驗研究法進行實驗,以國小六年級學童為對象,共計六十二人,其中實驗組與控制組皆為三十一人,實驗組參加為期五個月的靜坐訓練,控制組則否。評量工具包括「威廉斯創造性思考活動」、「威廉斯創造性傾向量表」、「魏氏兒童智力量表第三版」(WISC-III),並以單因子共變數分析進行統計處理,主要研究發現: 1.經過靜坐訓練後,學童在「威廉斯創造性思考活動」測驗之開放性、獨創力、精密力與總分優於未參加靜坐之學童,顯示靜坐有助於國小學童創造力的提升。 2.經過靜坐訓練後,學童在「魏氏兒童智力量表第三版」(WISC-III)之「順序題目施測」與「逆序題目施測」之分數優於未參加靜坐之學童,顯示靜坐有助於國小學童記憶力的提升。
Abstract This study aimed to explore the effects of meditation on creativity and memory by using an experimental approach to understand the differences between experimental group and control group. In this study the sixth grade students of Taichung City for the objects a total of 62 including 31 in experimental group and 31 in the control group .The experimental group participated in meditation activity for five month but the control group did not. The evaluation instruments include “Williams Creative Thinking Activity”, “Williams Creative Thinking Tendency Evaluation”, and "Wechsler Intelligence Scale for Children Third Edition"(WISC-III),and the data analyzed with ANOVA. The study found that: 1. After meditation training, the students are better on liberality, originality, preciseness and total scores than those who did not participate the meditation training in the test of “Williams Creative Thinking Activity”. Meditation helps to enhance the creativity of elementary school students. 2. Within "Wechsler Intelligence Scale for Children Third Edition"(WISC-III) of two sub-tests, The Digits Forward Tests and The Digits Backward Tests, showed that after meditation training, the students had significantly higher scores than those who did not participate the meditation training . Meditation helps to enhance the memory of elementary school students.
