公共圖書館的創新服務要角-館員與數位內容策展

Key Players of Innovative Services in Public Libraries-Librarian and Digital Content Curation

摘要


人是組織中實施知識管理的要角,因為組織需要保持長期競爭優勢,優勢的關鍵是持續創新,而創新的基礎是要能活化、活用知識,而一切都要靠人完成或協助完成。過去談圖書館知識創新,較少以人的角度討論,因網路、資訊科技與社群媒體發展、資訊傳播方式改變,帶來嶄新的創新服務契機,尤其公共圖書館以服務大眾為主,更有機會掌握此一契機,利用網路、資訊科技及社群媒體,進行數位內容策展,利用館員訓練有素的資訊(知識)品味,提供社群各種專業創新服務,重返館員的光榮時代。

Human beings are key players in the implementation of knowledge management. This is especially true in organizations because organizations need to keep long-term competitive advantage which is based on continuous innovation. The foundation of innovation is to activate and utilize knowledge which is not possible without efforts of human beings. In the past, knowledge innovations in library were discussed on services, but less on viewpoints of human beings (librarians). Due to advance of information technology and social media resulted the change of information dissemination. These also brought new chance of innovative services, especially public libraries. Public Librarians ought to be respected as key players of innovative services because they have expertise of digital content curation and taste of information (knowledge) that enable them to have more opportunities to utilize information technology, social media, and Internet to provide diversified services for communities.
