評量方法與醫學敎育的敎學成效息息相關,在醫學生基本臨床技能的評量方面有許多種評量方法。這些方法包括口試、多重選擇紙筆測驗、書面模擬病人問題測驗、電腦模擬病人問题測驗以及使用標準病人的主題結構化臨床測驗等等。其中以電腦模擬病人問題測驗以及使用標準病人的主题結構化臨床測驗,最常被用來作爲以實作爲基礎的評鑑方法,許多發表的研究結果也證實這兩種方法的效度、信度及可行性。台灣醫界一向缺乏對醫學生的基本臨床技能進行有效評估的方法,有鑑於醫學生實作評鑑的重要性,應該在考量本地特殊的歷史和文化背景下,積極進行相關研究,以設計出適用於本地醫學環境及醫學生特質的實作評鑑方法,以落實醫學敎育成效及提高醫療水準。
Assessment is an important issue in medical education, and several methods have been used to assess basic clinical skills of medical students. These methods include oral examinations, multiple-choice questions, patient management problems, computer-based clinical simulations and objective structured clinical examination (OSCE) using standardized patients. Although each has its own merits and drawbacks, computer-based clinical simulations and OSCE are most widely used for performance assessment. Many research reports have been published to confirm their validity, reliability and feasibility. Taiwan has lacked effective methods to assess the basic clinic skills of medical students. Considering the importance of the matter and the unique historical and cultural background in this area, we need to conduct intensive studies to develop a performance assessment method of our own in order to assure the quality of medical education quality and to raise the medical care standards.
