This action research discusses the experience and effectiveness of group work model intervention in students at high-risk of dropout. The research subjects were selected by purposive sampling, and we invited students who are at high-risk of dropout. Through the exploration and analysis of this action research process, we hope to provide schools and practitioners with more positive thinking and interaction to help students grow up healthily. There are four framework analyses, including "the course of practical action to explore and the integration of experience," "review of the group work plan," "the results of groups members participating in the interaction of groups," as well as "researcher's plight, coping, and learning." The researchers offered the following conclusions: A. group members have a positive experience and healthy interaction; B. groups can give members support and companionship; C. a group worker, who acts as a tool, can help members change; D. group workers create a safe and trusted environment, which will encourage the members to show their change; E. the Satir model helps groups build positive interaction contexts; F. the Satir model helps the group leader to treat members from a humanity perspective; G. the Satir model gives leaders a method to explore the member's inner world; H. the Satir model paves a way for leaders to grow self-reflection and learning pipeline; I. social workers need to integrate theory with their ability to perceive members' inner world. These conclusions provide schools and practitioners with different angles so that they can cope with students at high-risk of dropout. Finally, according to the results of this study, the research proposes several suggestions for school, social work professionals, and future research.
