從玄應對《維摩詰經》漢譯三本語詞差異的辨析釐定《玄應音義》性質

本文藉由探究玄應對《維摩詰經》支謙、鳩摩羅什、玄奘漢譯三本語詞差異的辨析，一則窺探玄應對經文的理解，再則以此為據重探《玄應音義》的性質。本文發現，玄應所立條目雖可於多部經典中互用，但部分釋語仍具有針對性。在「同經異譯」經典語詞條目中，玄應釋文儼然有「借此釋彼」或「以此正彼」的作用。另一方面，透過與窺基《說無垢稱經疏》的參照，本文指出玄應「音義」與窺基「注疏」形態雖則不同，但都以解經為目的；《玄應音義》並不是只羅列義項的辭書。更重要的是，玄應在辨析《維摩詰經》三譯本語詞時，明顯以其師玄奘之說為基本立場，展現了承自玄奘的「一家之學」。此一探討，對釐清《玄應音義》一書性質應有明確的助益。

Three Chinese translations of the Vimalakīrtinirdeśa are available: those of Zhi Qian, Kumārajīva, and Xuanzang. In some cases, they used different Chinese terms to translate or interpret the Vimalakīrtinirdeśa. Xuanying's Yinyi 玄應音義 often distinguishes the differences among them and sometimes identifies which one is correct. In this paper, we study the opinions of Xuanying regarding the terms used in the different Chinese translations in order to know how he understood the Vimalakīrtinirdeśa. At the same time, we hope to evaluate the Yinyi objectively and fairly.
