Registered Mechanical Engineer Abstract To design a gear train, it is necessary to determine the tooth size called module. The module equal to pitch circle diameter (P.C.D.) divided by the number of teeth (N). So it is required to assume the P.C.D. and N first. Using AGMA formula can find module easily and save design time.
