以衛教教材評估工具(PEMAT)評估安寧緩和視聽教材之理解度與可行度

Assess the Understandability and Actionability of Palliative Education Teaching Videos by Using Patient Health Education Assessment Tool (PEMAT)

摘要


研究目的:以衛教教材評估工具(the patient education materials assessment tool, PEMAT)評估衛教影片的理解度與可行度。研究材料:東部某醫學中心安寧病房20部衛教影片,主要針對疾病末期病人進行出院準備服務衛教指導時使用。研究方法:以PEMAT為評分工具,將本研究之衛教影片,每一部予三位評分者個別評分,並進行評分一致性討論,三人達成共識後完成每部影片的評值。結果:20部衛教影片PEMAT總得分百分比為42.9%-100%。理解度總得分百分比為45.5%-100%;可行度除1部33%外,其餘皆為100%。可理解度項目的分別分析,「明確定義解釋專有名詞」、「有總結」及「在螢幕上的文字易於閱讀」僅50-70%的影片達到。結論:本研究衛教影片可行性佳,理解度仍有些項目未符合。利用PEMAT有系統進行衛教影片的評估,可提供護理人員選擇適用衛教影片的依據,提高衛教品質。

Purpose: Assess the understandability and actionability of health education teaching materials' by using the patient education materials assessment tool: PEMAT. Research material: The research materials are twenty education videos from a hospice ward at a medical center in the eastern of Taiwan, and use for teaching the end of patients who are in the end of disease and for discharge preparation services. Research methods: Three raters used PEMAT as the tools to score the education videos. Each rater watched the videos and used the items from PEMAT to score by themselves. After scoring, three raters discussed every PEMAT item and reached a consensus score. Result: The score of PEMAT from twenty education videos are 42.9%-100%. The score of understandability are 45.5%-100%, and the score of actionability are all 100% except one is 33%. Assessing the understandability by every item that shows three items: "Medical terms are used only to familiarize audience with the terms. When used, medical terms are defined"、"The material provides a summary" and "Text on the screen is easy to read" can achieve only 50%-70%. Conclusion: The research materials show good actionability, but some items don't conform at understandability. A systematic evaluation the education videos by using PEMAT can provide nursing staff to have a reference to choice better education videos, and it also can improve the quality of teaching.
