On Establishing an Adaptive e-Learning Framework

以學習等級制建構適性教學之研究

摘要


台灣現今的教育已邁向成熟階段,然而伴隨著台灣本島網路的日漸興起,教育的方式已不再局限於傳統的學堂授課,透過數位學習(e-Learning)的教學方式也將日益增多,許多的教學題材將伴隨著數位學習型態無遠弗屆地傳遞於世界各角落。如今,國內、外企業的人事教育訓練、學術單位或資訊產業無不積極研發與建構數位學習系統,期望透過此創造更多的學習機會與附加價值,由此可知數位學習將是現今輔助傳統學習的一項重要關鍵因子。 但由於傳統的數位學習架構並無法針對不同的使用者給與適當之內容及測驗,這將造成使用者在學習過程上對教材內容感到太過簡單或太過困難,且若缺乏與學習者互動及回饋的機會,也容易讓使用者感到疲憊與厭煩。因此,本研究將提出以適性化學習及測驗為主體的教學方式,經由互動式學習來記錄學習者的成效,並賦與適性化之試題與課程,在測驗結束後給與學習者評估及建議。適性化教學的學習法,將可改變視學習者為同一程度的教學方式,透過學習評估機制以提昇學習者對課程內容之接受度,讓教學教材更為合乎實際狀況所需。

Taiwan's education has developed into a mature stage. However, with the increasing prevalence of the Internet on the island, education methods are no longer confined to traditional classroom instructions. More and more instructions are now based on e-Learning, and many teaching materials are also accessible in every corner of the world through e-Learning platforms. Nowadays, domestic and foreign enterprises, academic institutes, and information industries are all actively engaged in developing and constructing an e-Learning system, in hope of creating more learning opportunities and additional values. Therefore, it can be inferred that e-Learning is a key element that can assist conventional learning in the present. Conventional e-Learning is unable to provide adaptive teaching materials and tests according to the individual need of learners. If e-Learning is constructed simply on a text-based interface, it may have limited interactions with users. However, excessive use of texts may also result in fatigue and boredom of users. In this study, an e-Learning framework that is based on adaptive learning and tests is proposed. Through interactive learning, the learning effectiveness of users is recorded and adaptive test questions are provided. At the end of each test, learners are evaluated, so suggestions can be provided according to the evaluation results. This adaptive e-Learning framework is expected to change the teaching methods that view all learners as of equal level, improve learners' acceptance of the course contents through evaluation mechanisms, and increase the prevalence of e-Learning in teaching.
