摘要


圖書是記錄中華文化發展的重要工具,透過圖書,後人才得以領略中華民族固有的人文與藝術之美。圖書發展至今,已歷千百餘年,儘管其內容、形態都已產生巨大變化,但是其傳遞新知、移易風教、凝聚情感、消融文化歧見的功能,卻未曾稍減。然而在現今資訊科技快速發展的時代下,數位化形態大有取代紙本文書的趨勢,不僅改變了人們的閱讀書寫習慣,相關的出版、營販、典藏機構,也掀起了轉型的巨變。伴隨而來的,像是學校教育、家庭教育、社會教育的學習模式,不得不有新的思維以為因應。基於上述的思考,筆者曾於元智大學開設「圖書演進與文化嬗變」通識課程,嘗試從近六十年來圖書演進的軌跡(包含內容、型態、出版、庋藏、流通),帶領同學檢視當前臺灣社會圖書發展之特色與面臨之困境,希望由此提昇同學的自我閱讀能力,改正過度依賴網路資料的錯誤觀念。本論文即為該課程執行之成果與檢討。

Books are one of the important tools to record the development of Chinese culture. By books, people can accordingly learn the beauty of Chinese culture and art. Throughout the development of books, it has been hundreds of thousands of years. Although their contents and formations have changed a lot, the functions of transmitting new knowledge, affecting the social atmosphere, building the relationship, and exterminating cultural discrimination never faded. However, in today's era of rapid development of information technology, digital formation has a great tendency to replace paper books. It has not only changed people's reading and writing habit, but caused great transformation about publishing, selling, institutional repository. As a result, the studying patterns such as school education, family education, and social education have no choice but to come out with new thinking.
