並列摘要

We describe a case of previously healthy 29-year-old male patient who was admitted to our emergency department with chest pain. Patient had a history of blunt chest trauma by receiving a fist by his wife when argue with each other, just 30 minutes prior to his admission. Physical examinations revealed tenderness on left side of the chest wall. EKG showed hyperacute anterior wall myocardial infarction. Emergent percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) was performed and left anterior descending artery (LAD) occlusion was found. Patient was discharged home uneventful on the 7 days later after procedure. Acute myocardial infarction (AMI) as a complication of blunt chest trauma was rare and has been reported most commonly in victims of car accidents. Other cases have been very rarely reported. To our knowledge, this is the first case of coronary artery injury has been described due to blunt chest trauma by blow of a fist in a young man without signs of prior coronary artery disease.
