女性新移民的母職實踐與衝突 —以桃園縣為例

摘要

社會上普遍存在對新女性移民的刻板印象，認為新女性移民的素質有問題，所以生下來的孩子在學習上會出現障礙，再加上多數會娶新女性移民的台灣郎的教育程度和社會經濟地位較低，所以生出來的小孩在先天不足又後天失調的家庭環境中；而社會上要新女性移民少生孩子的背後，多半也隱含對這些家庭的歧視與偏見。因此，本文希望探討從東南亞來的新移民女性在教育子女之母職實踐經驗與跨國文化衝突，並以女性主義的觀點，探討新女性移民的母職文化與潛藏的女性意識。
研究方法是運用質化研究的集體訪談與個別訪談法為主，共訪問二十位居住在桃園縣的外籍母親。研究發現：商品化婚姻的污名仍然阻礙外籍母親母職實踐，傳統父權文化與社會理想母職壓迫著新女性移民，影響女性新移民是否會出現女性主義意識，原本生長國境中的性別文化是一重要因素，教育程度則是女性自覺的充分條件而非必要條件；至於她們是否經商品化過程進入台灣則無明顯相關性，而目前的家庭形態往往是女性自覺所影響的結果，並非影響女性自覺出現的原因。

The stereotype of Multinational-Marriage Woman having some points in the society including that their kids learn difficultly and the most Multinational-Marriage Woman marry the man of lower education level and social economic position of Taiwan. The demand of born less for Multinational-Marriage Woman is the implicit of the bias and prejudice of these families. This study is to research the southern-eastern Asian mothers’ fulfillment and clash of motherhood.
Qualitative research methods including collective and individual interview method were adopted in this study. We had interviewed 20 Multinational-Marriage Women who live in Taoyuan County. The result indicated that commodified marriage still be the obstacle of the motherhood practice for these foreign mother. Sexual culture of origin country is the important factor of appearance of feminism consciousness for Multinational-Marriage Woman. The level of education is the sufficient condition nor necessary for feminism consciousness. Sexual culture of origin country and the process of marriage did not influence feminism consciousness obviously. Family life’s style is always the result of impact for feminism consciousness, not appearance of feminism consciousness.
