Compounded art and dining space is a space compounded of art, cultural events and dining space. From the past until now, this kind of spaces influence the development of art and culture in Taiwan, and reflect the social and cultural changes of Taiwan. In order to construct the cultural role of them, this research begins with researching the art images of the dining spaces since the early time and tries to analyze the changes of the cultural role of them since 1980s through the theories of consumer culture and public sphere and some existing examples to conclude the constructive core of the cultural role of the compounded art and dining spaces. Finally, this research discusses the related government local policy to provide a possible direction and development for the future planning on the compounded art and dining spaces.
