本研究/創作乃企圖將唐朝織品紋飾應用於視覺設計，其目的為建立獨特之設計觀念與表現形式，以創造具文化特色及現代感之圖案設計，並應用於商品設計上。其過程乃先對唐朝織品的類別、素材、色彩和構成做文獻研究，之後再探討國內以傳統藝術為風格的商品範例，以利進行轉換唐朝織品紋飾於商品之圖案創作實驗。因此，創作前針對唐朝織品紋飾做文獻探討，以及對市場實例做研究，進而參考研究結果而進行實驗創作，創作實驗過程包括將所選唐朝織品紋飾(如連珠對雞紋錦和連珠鹿紋錦)，以雕刻、噴紗和石花於玻璃、鏡面和不鏽鋼等不同材料上，以創造硬邊質感之圖案效果，再利用其特殊效果印製於布材上(金銀蔥、烏干紗)，經由構圖設計與搭配商品造型之實驗，以及結合TPU(環保塑膠)合成之素材，以應用於商品設計上，如皮包、化妝包、筆記本和皮帶等。

Abstract
This research/creation intends to apply Tang Dynasty’s textile ornaments and to establish its unique style for culturally identifiable designs. Tang Dynasty’s textile ornaments, materials, colors, and compositions are explored in the research. This is followed by analysis of contemporary merchandises which incorporate traditional artistic features. From the above steps yielded design guides for subsequent design creation experiments.

The experimental design creation includes three steps. First, Tang Dynasty’s textile motifs such as Jin-silk roosters pairs and Jin-silk deer pairs are chosen. Second, these motifs are engraved, carved, and corroded on different materials like glasses, mirrors and stainless steels. Third¸ the same motifs are further experimented on fabrics such as gold/silver scallion, organ yarn, and TPU (eco-plastic). Finally, these fabrics are tailor-made into fashionable products such as handbags, cosmetic bags, notebooks and belts.
