This study investigates the effects of food and beverage industry employees’ perceived transformational leadership on their relative deprivation and social loafing, and the effect of perceived transformational leadership on social loafing. This research subjects were selected from employees of seven food and beverage companies in Taiwan, 250 valid questionnaires were collected, and of which 217 are effective questionnaires, returns-ratio is 86.8%. The results are: (1) the stronger the employees’ perceived transformational leadership are, the lower their relative deprivation will be; (2) the stronger the employees’ relative deprivation are, the more their social loafing will be; (3) employees’ perceived transformational leadership fail to predict their social loafing.
