從志願服務者到社會工作者- 助人工作本質的現象學研究

摘要

本研究旨在從志願服務與社會工作兩種助人工作經驗中，探討助人工作之本質。有鑒於志願服務與社會工作這兩種助人工作，在歷史淵源、服務內容上都有著密不可分的關係，在現今的社會福利服務上也皆各自扮演著重要的角色，因此，本研究透過兼具志願服務、社會工作兩種助人工作經驗的對象，瞭解和分析其助人工作的經驗，從中勾勒出助人工作的本質。
基於本研究的焦點在於從志願服務與社會工作的助人工作經驗之中，歸納出助人工作的本質，將採用現象學的方法來進行研究，秉持著現象學的哲學思考、懸置、開放、反思四大原則來進行深度訪談與資料的分析，藉此讓具有一定知識基礎的志願服務與社會工作領域，累積更多新的知識。
從研究中可發現會從事助人工作並非偶然，從個性、家庭背景和所處的環境等等都會有所影響。整體來說，志願服務與社會工作是相輔相成的關係，兩者主要差異在於薪資報酬、權力、知識能力的不同，而共同的助人工作本質是：(一)幫助弱勢脫離不良的環境；(二)付出不求回報的精神；(三)公平正義的理念；(四)助人自助的價值。然而，受到意識形態、社會變遷的影響，助人工作的的互動模式和工作型態也會有所不同，本研究最終的提出的新洞見-助人工作是一種權力與資源的分配。

This research focuses on the essence of helping work. In the history of social service, there is close relationship between volunteering and social work. Today, both of them play an important role in social service. In order to dig the essence of helping work, this research studies and analyses helping experience by a social worker who has volunteering experience.
To achieve the objects of this research, I used phenomenology as my research methodology.When I interview and analyse the raw data, I follow the phenomenological principles include philosophical thinking, suspending and epocheing my experience, reflection. By gollowing this way, new knowledge can emerge from the experience of volunteering and social work.
We found that personal traits, family background and growth experience had influence on people to do helping work from this research. Overall, volunteering and social work would illuminate each other. The main differences between them are payment, power and knowledge ability, but the same elements of them are (1) helping someone inneed; (2) paying not for return; (3) the ideal of equity and justice; (4) helping people to help themselves. Fianlly, this research insigh: Helping work is power and resource distribution.
