摘要

『大和物語』第27段は、出家した法師が比叡山で洗濯してくれる人がいなかったため、実家の親に洗濯を依頼したが、母親から「親の反対を押し切って出家したのに洗濯を押し付けてきた」と文句を言われ、その際に返した歌で終わる短章段である。その歌は、出家しても世間の煩わしさから逃れられない我が身を嘆くものであるが、この点に「社会との関係」を読み取ることができよう。ところで、愛知県立大学の丸山裕美子教授に拠れば、「正倉院文書のなかには、洗濯のために有償で雇われていた女性の姿を確認（朝日新聞2017年2月4日Be紙面）」することができるという。つまり、洗濯という仕事は、本来「有償」で行われるもので対価を伴う重労働だった。だとすれば、比叡山で修行中の法師が洗濯を母親に依頼することは、確かに身勝手な行為だったのに相違ない。現在の社会でも親へと依存する子供が多く、家事労働も育児も対価に見合った報酬を親は受け取っていないはずである。そうした親への依存が時代を問わないという事実を1000年前の法師の行動から読み取ることができる点が古典文学研究の社会的役割と認められるのではないだろうか。

『大和物語』第27段中，出家了的法師因為比叡山裡沒有人幫忙洗衣，所以拜託老家，但被母親抱怨說「不顧父母反對出家，卻將洗衣工作丟回來」，而此一短篇便在法師回應家人而歌詠的和歌處結束。這首歌為法師感嘆即使出家，卻無法逃離世間繁瑣事的自身處境，而從此處可以讀取到「與社會的關係」。根據愛知縣立大學丸山裕美子教授所述，「正倉院文書中，可以確認到有代價受雇洗衣的女性的模樣（朝日新聞2017年2月4日Be面）」，也就是說，洗衣這種工作，原本是「有價」之伴隨代價的重勞動。如此的話，在比叡山修行中的法師拜託母親洗衣，的確算是任性的行為。在現代社會也有許多依賴父母的子女；但是不論家事勞動或育兒等，父母應該沒有得到合理的勞力報酬。而這種對父母的依賴心可以從1000年前法師的行動中觀察到，從此處亦可以看到古典文學的社會責任。｜The 27th stage of the ＂Yamato Monogatari＂ was a request for washing to his mother because there was nobody who did the laundry at the Hiei monk, but the complaint was made by the mother, and the short chapter ending with the Japanese poet returned at that time, and in the Japanese poet it is said that the Japanese poet ＂Lamenting ourselves who can not escape the troubles of the world even if you go out＂ We can read the ＂relationship with society＂. By the way, according to Professor Yumiko Maruyama of Aichi Prefectural University, ＂In the Shosoin document, we confirm the appearance of the woman who was hired at a fee for laundry (Asahi Newspaper February 4, 2017 paper page)＂ You can say that you can. In other words, the job of washing was hard work with consideration. If so, it would certainly be a selfish act to ask the mentor to do laundry by the legal guard. There should be many children dependent on parents in the present society. Will it be recognized as a social role of classical literature research that we can read the fact that reliance on such parents does not matter for the times from the behavior of the lawyer 1000 years ago?
