Dental anterior crossbite usually results from local etiological factors. It may cause traumatic occlusion, pseudo-class III malocclusion and TMJ disturbance. In most cases, localized dental anterior crossbite should be treated as soon as it is discovered. Delayed treatment can lead to the loss of arch dimensions, asymmetric midlines and untoward growth patterns if a functional shift is involved. This case report presents the dental anterior crossbite in a 7 years old child, who received lower inclined bite plane (IBP) treatment for crossbite correction. The IBP appeared to be effective and successful in the treatment of anterior crossbite in the selected cases.
