本研究旨在探討臺灣生物科技產業業者如何有效承擔社會責任以提高企業績效。本研究以Carroll(1991)的四大企業社會責任構面及其相關決策因子為理論架構,運用層級分析法(Analytical Hierarchy Process, AHP)進行分析,尋找提升企業績效最具關鍵性的決策構面與關鍵決策因子,以期臺灣生物科技產業在承擔企業社會責任時,能將有限的資源投入關鍵方向之重點工作,並與社會獲致雙贏。研究發現,臺灣生技產業欲經由履行企業社會責任以提高企業績效,最具攸關性的策略方向是建立良好的「勞工安全與關係」,而重要性第二的是「顧客權益」、第三是「公司治理」。
The purpose of this study is to explore how companies can effectively fulfill social responsibilities to improve corporate performance. This research follows the four dimensions of corporate social responsibility and the determinant factors proposed by Carrol (1991) as the theoretical framework, and uses Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) to analyze and find the most critical dimensions and determinant factors for corporate performance improvement, by which, the key investment directions for Taiwanese biotechnology industry can be revealed and achieve win-win results with the society by limited resource. The results of this research have found that, in order to improve corporate performance of Taiwanese biotechnology industry by fulfilling corporate social responsibilities, the most relevant strategic direction is to establish a good "labor safety and relationship", while the second and the third most important direction are "customer rights" and "corporate governance", respectively.
