"Transition service" means the process for children with special needs to switch from kindergarten to elementary school. The children are at the center of the service and the personnel involved work together as a team to help the children successfully switch and adapt to the new environment. The article explains the definition, connotation, necessity and legal basis of the transition service. Then, based on practical experience, the author takes Tainan City as an example to illustrate the current situation of the service. Finally, the researcher proposes a suggestion as to how transition services can improve the above scenarios and overcome their attendant difficulties.
