Blue LED-Promoted Thioacetalization and Oxathiacetalization

Recently, light-promoted chemical reaction has received considerable attention due to its mildness and eco-friendly features. It has been applied for many chemical transformations, and it is well-known for carbon-carbon, carbon-phosphorus, carbon-oxygen and carbon-boron bond formations. In this article, we summarize our results from the Blue LED-promoted thioacetalization and oxathiacetalization of aldehydes and ketones.
