The purpose of this study is to investigate the relationship between participating motivation and leisure benefits among brisk walkers. The study also attempts to understand participating motivation and leisure benefits for predictors of participation frequency among brisk walkers. Study subjects are participants in ”2009 Love without Barriers Brisk Walking for Public Welfare” in Dongshih Fisherman's Wharf, Chiayi County. A total of 345 surveys are returned, with the return rate of 86.3%. Following data analysis, the study findings suggests the followings: 1. The dimensions of participating motivation are moderately related with those of leisure benefits. The participating motivation is highly influential in leisure benefits. 2. Participating motivation and leisure benefits are not strong predictors of participation frequency among brisk walkers. That is, participating motivation and leisure benefits are not major determining factors of participation frequency among brisk walkers.
