本研究目的爲探討某醫學中心護理人員的照顧、溝通、教學、管理、研究、自我與專業成長以及整體護理能力與其個人特質之相關性。以某醫學中心護理人員爲研究對象,採隨機抽樣方式收集資料,有效問卷共314份,研究方法採問卷調查法,研究工具爲「護理能力量表」,信度之Cronbach's α係數0.89。結果以五等量法區別護理能力程度,顯示護理人員自評最佳及次佳之能力,依序爲照顧能力(n=297, 94.6%)、溝通能力(n=286, 91.1%)、整體的護理能力(n=280, 92.0%)、教學能力(n=265, 84.4%)、管理能力(n=255, 81.2%)、自我與專業成長能力(n=251, 79.9%)與研究能力(n=108, 34.4%)。個人特質在年齡、教育程度、服務年資、職稱、婚姻狀況、子女狀況、自認能力層級、參加進階意願等項與護理能力有顯著差異。變項中最佳之預測變項爲:自認能力層級、職稱、教育程度、婚姻狀況、服務年資、年齡及參加進階意願,可解釋之變異爲64.8%。所得研究結果可提供醫學中心護理能力進階分級制度之參考。
This study, which was conducted in a medical center, investigates six types of nursing competencies, including: caring, communication, teaching, management, engagement in research, as well as self and professional development. Overall nursing competence was also determined. In addition, we also assessed the relationship between the nursing competencies and individual characteristics. A survey was conducted by a nursing competence questionnaire. Nurses were randomly selected from the medical center. The reliability of Cronbach’s α for the nursing competence questionnaire was 0.89. A total of 314 effective questionnaires were collected. As the results, the percentages of the sum for nurses with the best and better nursing competencies (on a five point scale) by self-assessed were listed sequentially as follows: caring 94.6; communication 91.1; overall nursing competencies 89.1; teaching 84.4; management 81.2; self and professional development 79.9; and engagement in research 34.4. Individual characteristics including age, education, working years, job position, marital status, number of children and motivation, self-assessed nursing competencies showed significant differences with some nursing competencies. Self-assessed nursing competence, position, education, marital status, working years, age and motivation, could predict nursing capability for 64.8%. The results might provide information for medical centers in classifying nursing capability.
