飼料玉米「台南24號」之育成及品種特性

摘要

飼料玉米台南24號為三系雜交品種。原品系代號為PGH 96-2，自民國95年起進行新品系組合力檢定試驗，再經新品系比較試驗、新品系區域試驗、穩定性分析、氮肥試驗、栽培密度試驗、籽實品質分析及抗病性檢定等試驗，於民國98年命名為台南24號。台南24號的植株高大強健，抗倒伏性強，適合機械收穫。強抗露菌病和莖腐病。試驗期間其銹病發生率亦較台南20號低。株高在春作約270公分，秋作約265公分。成熟期在春作為116〜120天，秋作為130〜140天，為晚熟品種。穗長約22公分，乾籽實成份分析為粗蛋白質含量9.68％，粗脂肪含量5.15％，粗纖維含量3.0％，澱粉含量64.13％。每公頃乾籽實產量為約7,500〜8,000公斤。另台南24號植株高大強健，莖稈粗狀，葉片濃綠寬大，抗病性強，其每公頃植株鮮重達55,000〜60,000公斤，故亦可兼作飼養乳牛之青割玉米。

Tainan No. 24 is a triple cross variety which released by Tainan DARES, It performed high grain yield in yield trail and showed good performance in regional yield trails and chemical analysis trials etc., finally it was released in 2009. Tainan No. 24 has strong plant and high grain yield about 7,500~8,000 kg/ha, and high nutrition in grain. Tainan No. 24 also can resistant with downy mildew and stalk rot. Tainan No. 24 is a late maturity and also has high biomass about 55,000~60,000 kg/ha. Therefore, it is also suitable to be cultivated as forage corn.
