The Susceptibility of Five Strains Mice to Infections with Angiostrongylus Cantonensis
五品系小鼠對廣東住血線蟲的感受性
摘要
以廣東住血線蟲感染包括四個不同 H-2 haPlotyPes 的五種品系小鼠，觀察小鼠的感受性，感染後第三週藉小鼠腦部蟲體回收數及小鼠存活天數的評估，發現 c57BL / 10 ) ( H-Zb ) 及 c57BL / 6 ) ( H-Zb ）品系小鼠感受性最低，cBA ( H-Zk ）及 A / J ( H-2b）品系小鼠感受性其次， BALB / cJ ( H-Zd ）則顯示感受性最高，此外 BALB / cJ 小鼠食慾最差，體重減輕最明顯。雖然 Cs7BL / loJ 及 c57BL / 6J 品系小鼠的基因背景不同，但 H-Zhaplotypes 都是 H-Zb , 因此本實驗的觀察初步顯示，小鼠對廣東住血線蟲感染的感受性可能與小鼠 H-2 基因有關”

The susceptibility to the infection of Angiostrongylus cantonensis was studied in five inbred strains of mice including four H-2 haplotypes. Three weeks after infection, C57 BL/1OJ (H-2b) and C57BL/6J (H-2b) strains of mice showed the lowest, CBA (11-2b) and A/J (H-2) strains showed intermediate, and the BALB/cJ (H2d) mice showed the greatest susceptibility to infection. BALB/cJ mice also displayed the most body weight loss, the highest number worms and showed the least number of days of survival. The susceptibility of C57BL/6J H-2b) and C57BL/1OJ (11-2b) strains of mice sharing same H-2 haplotype was the same despite their different genetic backgrounds. These data suggested that the 11-2 gene might influence the susceptibility of mice to A. cantonensis.
