台南白玉米族群自交系之育成與評估

Development and Evaluation of Inbred Lines Derived from Tainan-White Maize Population

摘要


在玉米育種過程中,自交系組合力的相對大小之檢測為一重要工作。本研究以外來具有良好一般組合力之自交系為檢定親,進行不同地區台南白族群分離至 S4世代自交系之組合力檢定,結果顯示可很有效的把族群內自交系優劣加以區分。而再以國際玉米小麥中心(CIMMYT)引進的18個自交系當檢定親,檢定不同地區台南白族群問其自交系組合力是否有遺傳上差異存在,亦發現不同地區之台南白自交系其一般及特殊組合力均有明顯差異存在。

Determination of the relative combining ability of corn (Zea mays L.) inbred lines is an important feature of applied corn breeding program. Combining ability is measured by the relative performance of a line in testcrosses to one or more tester. CIMMYT inbred lines with white endosperm used as tester. The inbred lines were derived from different Tainan-White(TNW) populations, evaluated at S4 generation. The results indicated significant differences existed respectively in the general and specific combining ability of agronomic characters among TNW inbred lines in intra-population or inter-populations.
