大花咸豐草不同萃取方式之抗發炎及抗氧化活性

Antinflammatory and Antioxidant Activities of Bidens Pilosa Var. Radiata with Different Extraction Methods

摘要

In this study, investigating various parts of Bidens pilosa var. radiata hot water and 60% ethanol extracts for their antioxidant and anti-inflammatory activity. Different parts of B. pilosa var. radiata of antioxidant activities, from radical scavenging assay (1, 1-diphenyl-2-pricrylhydrazyl, DPPH), compared with commercial chrysanthemum, inhibition rate of hot water leaves extracts were the best. When the concentration at 100 μg/mL, may reach 77 % inhibition, IC50 was 51 μg/mL, other parts of the IC50 being more than 100 μg/mL. Total antioxidant assay (Trolox equivalent antioxidant capacity, TEAC), with 60% ethanol extract of the flower extracts being the best, up to 0.74 mM of Trolox. Determination of total phenolic content of different parts between 208.45 to 36.71 mg of gallic acid equivalent (GAE)/g. The TEAC were between 0 to 0.74 mM of Trolox. The total phenolic content and total antioxidant activity was positively correlated. Overall, leaves and flowers of B. pilosa var. radiata were better than the commercial chrysanthemum on antioxidant activities.Evaluation of anti-inflammatory activity used lipopolysaccharides (LPS) induced resposes in mouse RAW264.7 macrophage cell line to suppress nitric oxide (NO) production as a research model. B. pilosa var. radiata of different hot water extracts investigated immune regulation and anti-inflammatory effects. The results showed that the co-culture model, the concentration of 25 μg/mL of stems, leaves, roots of the NO produced inhibition rates were 100%, 87.32%, 67.27% respectively, indicating that stem and leaves with better anti-inflammatory activity.
