The purpose of the present paper is to understand the categories, characteristics of recreational activities and environmental preference in the coastal regions through the detailed investigtion of Nanwan Sea Waters in the Ken-Ting National Park. The research methods include the behavior observation, questionnaire and interview for the tourists. Some results are drawn,(1) characteristics for traveling, 1-3 days' trip, 2-5 companions and use of small cars are quite common.(2) the main reason for traveling to Nanwan is its beautiful scenery(3) the experience of activities is to get close to the nature.(4) physical factors such as bathhouse facilities, transportation and parking convenience, have more influence on satisfaction, and(5) maintenance of scenery about environmental preference should be intensified
