新型類氣體放電燈-平面電子發射光源

New Type of Quasi-gas Discharge Lamp-Flat Electron Emission Light Source

摘要


平面電子發射光源技術(Flat Electron Emission Lamp, FEEL)是台灣原創的嶄新無汞光源技術,其創新機制是由螢光燈陰極與CRT陽極發光機制所結合發展而來。電子由氣體放電與陰極二次電子產生,經電場加速撞擊陽極螢光粉發光,其工作氣體壓力(~0.1 torr)遠低於傳統的氣體放電燈,因此電子在飛行過程中大幅減少能量損失。除了平面均勻發光功能,FEEL還擁有多樣化的特性,其架構上亦擁有絕佳的隔熱效果,因此FEEL除了擁有非常大的學術研究價值外,也將是深具開發價值與市場潛力的環保綠色平面光源。

Flat electron emission lamp (FEEL) is an original technology from Taiwan and absolutely new lighting mechanism with mercury-free. With the innovative combination of fluorescent lamp (FL) and cathodoluminescent lamp (CL), electrons are generated from gas discharge and secondary electron from cathode. Then, the electrons are accelerated by electrical field established between cathode and anode. Due to the low working gas pressure (~0.1 torr), the occurrence of scattering between the electrons and the gas molecules will be relatively rare comparing with conventional gas discharge lamp. Finally, the energetic electrons will impact phosphor on the anode and transfer kinetic energy to the phosphor to emit visible light. Except for the uniform lighting performance, FEEL also has multi-functional lighting modes and very good thermal insulation property. Hence, FEEL not only has high academic value, but also has potential and developmental value in green lighting market.
