This study was focused on analyzing the planning of energy education contents in curriculum guidelines of agricultural science cluster in vocational and technical education; meanwhile, some suggestions were proposed according to the previous analysis for the development of energy education in vocational and technical education. In order to achieve the research purpose, the focus group and content analysis were utilized, and the following conclusions and suggestions were made: (1) the planning of energy education contents in curriculum guidelines of agricultural science cluster in vocational and technical education were over-emphasized in cognitive dimension, so the implementation of energy education should give consideration to affective and psychomotor dimensions in the future; (2) the systematic framework of energy education concepts was lack in Taiwan, so the energy education contents in different learning stages should be constructed in the future; (3) the planning of curriculum guidelines of agricultural science cluster in vocational and technical education was developed by its ideal and goals, so the energy education could be implemented through the school-based required curriculum and hands-on learning activities.
