侵犯眼窩之脊索瘤例
A Case of Chordoma Involving the Orbit
摘要
脊索瘤是一種非常罕見的先天性腫瘤，起源於原生脊索的殘餘物。本文報告一例脊索瘤伴隨單側眼球突出，及眼運動障礙及嚴重視力障礙。經手術及病理切片顯示為脊索瘤。本文並討論脊索瘤的臨床表徵、診斷方法、治療及預後。

Chordomas are unknown malignant tumors that are seldom reported in ophthalmologic Journals. About one thirds of these tumors originate at the base of the skull, causing headache, chiasmal involvement, or cranial nerve palsies. We studied a young woman whose symptoms were unilateral exophthalmos and nasal obstuction. A transfrontal craniotomy and radiotherapy provided only temporary improvement. The prognosis of patients with chordomas is dismal.
