The purposes of this study were to investigate college students’ satisfaction level on PE teaching. The concepts and the methods used in this study were from the theory of consumer behavior including consumer need, a conceptual model of service quality, expectant-indeterminate consumer satisfaction, and the cognition of evaluation viewpoint. “Survey of college students’ PE teaching satisfaction” designed by the researcher of this study was used as the research instrument. The 718 first grade students of National Taiwan University in the second semester of 1998 school year served as the subjects of this study. The obtained data were analyzed by factor analysis, t-test, and ANOVA. The following results were found under this study: 1. There were 14 teaching factors included in college PE teaching. 2. There were significant differences on the level of satisfaction of 5 PE teaching factors between male and female students (P<.01, p<.05). Male students were only satisfied with teaching results on the grade factor. Female students were satisfied with teaching results on the 4 of PE teaching factors. 3. There were significant differences on the level of satisfaction of 7 PE teaching factors among 4 different groups students (P< .01, p< .05). The ball group students were only satisfied with teaching results on the grade factor. The feat group students were satisfied with teaching results on the 3 of PE teaching factors. The physical fitness group students were satisfied with teaching results on the 6 of PE teaching factors. The recreational games group students were satisfied with teaching results on the 3 of PE teaching factors.
