職能治療專業教育之方向:文獻回顧與專家意見

摘要


職能治療專業在台灣的發展已經超過30年了。自有教育課程開始至今,對於教 育內容的變更甚少。因此,為了符合社會改變之需求,回顧我們專業課程內容是很 迫切且需要的。本研究經由回顧相關文獻,並探究相關的專家對於職能治療教育方 向的看法。共20位相關專家參與此研究;他們來自於不同的專業領域,平均的工作 年資為20年;有7位男性,13位女性;且大部分的人皆有博士學位。本研究是經由 郵寄或電子郵件方式來進行問卷調查。所有的問卷均回收。結果顯示:與病人溝通、 與病人家屬溝通、以及保密是三個較重要的職能治療教育重點。而職能治療教育各 向度的重要性之序則為:倫理、溝通、臨床技術、個人應變處理的能力、管理、以 及研究。其中,研究是一個相對重要性較低的向度。不同專業的專家之意見顯示結 果相似,但仍有差異。本文並以6個向度與國立台灣大學職能治療學系的課程作一 比較。結果顯示課程內容與教育過程均需同時考慮更動,以便符合當前醫療環境的 需要。

The development of occupational therapy curriculum in Taiwan has taken place over the past 30 years. Since the inception of the educational program, there have been ony a few modifications of the contents of the program. A need to revise our professional program in order to fit society’s need is urgent. The purpose of the study is to review related articles and examine the experts’ opinions on the focus of occupational therapy education. Twenty experts were recruited to participate this study. They were made up of seven males and thirteen females and most of them were qualified at the doctoral degree level. The study was performed using survey method via mail or E-mail. All questionnaires were returned and were then analyzed. The results showed that communication with the patient, communication with the family member of the patient and confidentiality were considered as the three most important areas in occupational therapy education. Ethics, communication, clinical skills, coping skills, management and research are the order of priority for the dimensions of occupational therapy education. Among them, research is listed as the least important dimension for an entry-level practitioner. Opinions from different professionalism revealed similar but slightly different results. The comparison of these results with the occupational therapy curriculum at National Taiwan University showed that curriculum reform and educational renovation should be considered simultaneously in order to fit in with the demand of the present medical environment.
